Kyrle Disease - Health Inspiration

Kyrle disease is a papulonodular mucocutaneous disorder and is characterised by transepidermal elimination of keratin onto the skin surface. Kyrle disease is characterised by transepidermal elimination of keratin from the dermis through the epidermis onto the skin surface. It is a subtype of primary perforating dermatosis along with reactive perforating collagenosis, perforating folliculitis, and elastosis perforans serpiginosa.

Kyrle disease: Strictly in this condition the material being ‘perforated’ is inflammatory debris from the dermis and not collagen or elastic tissue. As mentioned in the introduction, overlap with reactive perforating collagenosis exists. kyrle disease, Hyperkeratosis lenticularis perstans (HLP), also known as Flegel disease, is a rare heritable disorder of keratinisation that was first described by Flegel in 1958. It is characterised by red-brown papules with irregular horny scales located mainly on the dorsal aspect of the feet and lower legs. It has been regarded as a variant of Kyrle disease, however its clinical and pathological features ... Perforation of collagen as well as elastic fibres should not be seen in EPS Reactive perforating collagenosis – There may be some pathogenic overlap with this entity. Both entities share similar clinical features in chronic renal failure patients.

kyrle disease, Kyrle disease – Some authorities regard this as a perforating folliculitis. What is the differential diagnosis for reactive perforating collagenosis? Other primary perforating dermatoses — elastosis perforans serpiginosa, Kyrle disease, perforating folliculitis Secondary perforating disorders including granuloma annulare, lichen nitidus, chromoblastomycosis Prurigo What is the treatment for reactive perforating ... Kyrle disease should exhibit an impressive keratin plug and inflammatory material perforating through the epidermis. Porokeratosis – Cornoid lamellae allow easy diagnosis of this condition Actinic keratosis – Actinic dysplasia is seen. Some authors believe Flegel disease is a form of incipient epidermal dysplasia.
