It's a direct tribute to and draws its styling from the 1939 Waterman 100-Year Pen, with a fluted barrel and Art Deco 'ziggurat' engraving elements. It's about the same length and girth as a P51, right in the sweet spot for me. This particular pen is presented in black resin with palladium trim, including an engraved jeweler's ring mid-barrel.

My only Duofold, that I have with me right now, seems to write OK at almost any angle. When Waterman discontinued the Man 100 and Man 200 (which, by the way, was a dumb decision!), they introduced several models to occupy the high end of their line: the Liaison, the L'Etalon, and the Edson. The Edson is the only one of the three still in production, and it is Waterman's highest end pen.
